Explore a price change
Change the assumption. Keep the record.
StallYield can compare proposed full and discounted prices against a reconciled event. The comparison holds sales quantities, refunds, production costs, stock dispositions and expenses fixed.
A worked example
The fictional sample has 60 units sold at $3, $70 of used stock and $20 of event expenses: $180 in sales and $90 contribution. A proposed $3.50 full price at those same 60 sales gives $210 in sales and $120 contribution. The $30 difference comes entirely from the price assumption.
What this cannot tell you
Customers may buy a different quantity at a different price. This tool does not estimate that response. It also keeps entered refund amounts fixed rather than recalculating hypothetical refunds or payment fees. Change the actual event only when its recorded figures need correcting.
Use the comparison
- Reconcile every product’s units.
- Start a fresh price comparison.
- Enter proposed prices and compare the defined measures.
- Review the assumptions alongside your knowledge of the event.
Scenarios are temporary: they do not enter saved event backups, summaries or carryover files. Editing the event clears the comparison so it cannot silently refer to old quantities.
